We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you or our other current or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law (for example, we share such information with our contractors and agents, as well as schools, lenders and the U.S. Department of Education, as needed to administer your loan in conformance with law).
3. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to our employees who need to know the information, and to our contractors and agents in order to provide service to you, such as servicing and collecting your student loan. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in compliance with federal regulations to safeguard your nonpublic personal information.
You do not need to call or do anything as a result of this notice. It is meant to inform you of how ECMC safeguards your nonpublic personal financial information. This notice is not an attempt to collect a debt.
Security
The ECMC website operates with a secure server enabled by a VeriSign server Digital ID. Digital ID allows for secured communications and encrypted transactions between you and ECMC through your browser connection. In order to ensure the information being transmitted is as secure as possible, you must be using at least third-generation browsers (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher / Firefox browsers).
